Called Understandable Souls
Called Understandable Souls is the duo-project of RIEL and KNWLDG Qual, started up in 2003 / 2004. They are both influenced by hip-hop and jazz music to develop their creativity by experimenting with electronic sounds, slighted up samples and progressive synths.
Since the release of their digital EP Endless Shine on Citywurl Records, the duo started transforming their music into a more electronic approach. Most of their track releases were dropped on radio mixes and DJ set from Various artist, where their most notable mix contribution where to Monday Jazz and Jay Scarlett‘s Ampsoul Generation.
2010 has been the most productive year for the duo project Called Understandable Souls. With the releases of the Craft Above mixtape serie of three acts (Craft Above, The Killers and The Wells), The Classics with the collection of their earliest works, the Complete Black Demo and PROLOGUE the duo RIEL and KNWLDG QUAL have shown confidence and musical maturity since they established their project 2003. They finished their year their 12” EP On Up, including remixes from dynamic magicians YoggyOne and RLP which they released with Citywurl Records.
